Amirah is the daughter of Chartelle Black, which makes her the granddaughter of Renesmee and Jacob. She is a tribrid consisting of shapeshifter, witch and vampire. I recommend rereading Hidden and Safe Haven for a reminder on how she works. Although it is all covered again in the chapters of Supernova.
